The Stanford Cardinal beat the FSU with a walk-off grand slam to snap their 25-game winning streak.

Florida State softball's winning streak is no more. The Seminoles fell to the Stanford Cardinal 9-8 on Friday, losing on a walk-off grand slam with two outs in the seventh inning. FSU had won their previous 25 games, they are now 27-3 overall and 12-1 in ACC play.

FSU erupted for six runs in the top of the seventh, taking an 8-5 lead and erasing a three-run deficit. Stanford wasn't going to go down quietly as their first two batters reached off Makenna Reid, bringing the tying run to the plate. Reid responded with a strikeout before FSU turned to ace Jazzy Francik to try to close out the game.

She got the second out with a flyout before walking a batter to put the tying run on base with two outs. Addyson Sheppard ended the game with a grand slam to left field, completing a wild comeback. FSU erased an early 2-0 deficit to tie the game 2-2 in the sixth before Stanford's offense came back to life.

The Cardinal had a runner on first with two outs before a double put two on for Taryn Kern against Ashtyn Danley. The All-American did not miss, crushing a three-run homer to right field to put them up 5-2. The Seminoles responded with their best inning of the night, scoring six runs on four hits and two walks.
