Of all the sports the Texas Longhorns play against Lone Star Showdown rival Texas A&M, baseball is the second most heated. Football will always be No. 1.

But the baseball rivalry between the Horns and the Aggies runs deep. The old hatred was on display Friday night in College Station as No. 15 Texas A&M upset No.

2 Texas, 9-8. Texas starter Ruger Riojas had a tough night on the mound, giving up five hits and five earned runs. But the Longhorns offense had UT ahead, thanks to a two-run homer by catcher Carson Tinney.

After walking Aggies DH Jake Duer, Riojas was relieved by Haiden Leffew. The Wake Forest transfer threw a wild pitch and three walks to give the Aggies a 7-6 they would never relinquish. an A-Bomb from A-Rob šŸ’£ #HookEm | @AidenRobbins43 pic.
