He’s helped lead Boston to the second-best record in the Eastern Conference despite the fact that star forward Jayson Tatum missed the bulk of the season and he’s receiving some serious MVP consideration as a result. Jaylen Brown named one of the most overrated players in the NBA Despite his successes though, Brown still has his fair share of detractors. The Celtics star was recently named one of the most overrated players in the entire NBA this season by Bleacher Report's Andy Bailey.

“Jaylen Brown is likely to make First Team All-NBA, and his Boston Celtics have annihilated expectations. But media members (with votes! ) have campaigned for him to be the MVP, which is frankly, bonkers,” Bailey wrote.

“Brown is 29th in estimated wins (the cumulative version of Dunks and Threes' estimated plus-minus), has been one of the very least efficient shooters in the NBA and has a negative net rating swing (meaning Boston's point differential is actually better when he's out of the game). ” While Brown certainly won't be happy to be included on a list of the most overrated players, he can take solace in the fact that nine other players placed ahead of him on the list. Those nine players are Kyle Kuzma, Ja Morant, Jonathan Kuminga, Draymond Green, Domantas Sabonis, Dillon Brooks, Paolo Banchero, Norman Powell and Brandon Ingram, who was named the league's most overrated player.
