The franchise secured a 112-95 victory over the Toronto Raptors on Friday and has one game remaining on its regular-season schedule before the postseason begins. Unfortunately for New York, OG Anunoby was forced to exit the contest before its completion due to a lower-body injury. “Knicks forward OG Anunoby has a left ankle injury and will not return to tonight’s game,” ClutchPoints’ Brett Siegel reported on X/Twitter.

The timing of the injury will likely put the NBA champion forward’s status for the playoffs in jeopardy, which is concerning news for a Knicks franchise hoping to be the last team standing in June. Of course, it’ll all depend on the severity of the ankle sprain. In general, though, ankle sprains are among the most challenging injuries to recover from, as they impair players’ lateral quickness and explosiveness.
