Ford Stacy set the tone with a gritty 4 2/3 innings of work before Tyler Wilson slammed the door shut, facing just six batters and racking up two strikeouts to finalize a brilliant four-hit combined performance. But the Cardinals weren’t just dominant on the hill. Taco Verocco headlined the offensive assault, belting a double and a single to drive in three huge runs.
