Jason Day reacts as Cameron Smith misses a sixth major cut in a row at The Masters

Smith had knocked on the door on several occasions at Augusta National over the course of his career. He had finished in the top 10 on five occasions – more than he had in the other three majors combined.
Unfortunately, he will not be adding to that run this time around. It continues a worrying trend for the Ripper GC captain.
Smith has now missed his last six cuts in the major championships, with the 2024 US Open representing the last time that he played on the weekend. Smith was the only player to miss the cut in all four majors in 2025. So he would have been desperate to prove a point and look much more like the player who clinched The Open Championship nearly four years ago.

He was I think at a high of number two in the world. He’s an unreal golfer. He has a tremendous short game and really good wedge game,” he said.
