Tommy Fleetwood makes 2 eagles at Masters, earns crystal glasses
Tommy Fleetwood's quest for his first major title remains alive at the 2026 Masters thanks to a pair of Round 2 eagles.
AUGUSTA, Ga. โ Entering Friday, Tommy Fleetwood had played 35 rounds at the Masters Tournament without carding an eagle from the fairway. Then, in an eight-hole span, the Englishman made two.
More: Masters leaderboard, scores, groupings, tee times, more โNo. 8 was the first eagle I've ever made,โ Fleetwood said. โI had a hole-in-one on 16 (in 2021), but apart from that, I've never made an eagle on a par 5 or a par 4.
That was my first. โ Seven holes later, Fleetwood doubled his pair of crystal highball glasses. On the 550-yard 15th hole, Tommy center-cut his drive, stuck the green on his second, and then gave credit to his looper, Ian Finnis.
โ(Ian) read the putt higher than I would have hit it,โ Tommy admitted. โSo it was mostly Finn on 15. โ Fleetwood, who carded a 68 and is at 5-under 139, enters the weekend seven shots behind Rory McIlroy.
