The position, however, has been in constant flux for many, many years, with the last manager before Seitz that lasted more than 2 year in the role being Hermann Gerland.

And he left in 2009. So the question is simple: Who will Bayern get that could oversee the development of the club’s future and maybe stick around for the long term? Apparently, former Bayern player and 2013 treble winner Dante Bonfirm Costa Santos, better known as Dante, could be the answer to that question.

@iMiaSanMia captured Tzmuenchen’s report: Dante is being considered as a candidate to become the new head coach of FC Bayern II. Current coach Holger Seitz is to step down at the end of the season and take on a different role in the Campus. The 2013 treble winner is currently the captain of OGC Nice in Ligue 1, but is planning to retire at the end of the season.

He then wants to become a coach, with a return to FC Bayern his big dream. Dante has already obtained his UEFA pro licence while he’s still an active professional player. Dante’s longevity is simply incredible, as he approaches his 43rd birthday in October this year!
