The rich get richer in Division II college hoops as former Embry-Riddle guard, Jared Berry, commits to the Sharks of Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida.

Berry is coming off of a career year having averaged 20. 3 points, five assists, and 4. 9 rebounds per game.

The 5-foot-10 guard out of the Orlando, Fla. area gained plenty of interest around the country for his services before he ended up committing to Nova Southeastern. โ€œJared had offers from DI schools before Nova Southeastern came in with the largest offer in Division II history,โ€ Berry's agent, Justin Degan of Orange Blossom Sports, told Sporting News.

Berry, the younger brother of former North Carolina Tar Heels star Joel Berry, was a force in high school winning the 2021 FACA Player of the Year and 4A Player of the Year. He helped lead Lake Highland Prep to five district and two regional titles. He now takes his talents to South Florida to join five-time DII National Champion head coach, Jim Crutchfield and a Nova Southeastern team that is coming off of a monster 31-2 season in which they averaged 98.
