During his senior year, he held a 0. 90 ERA across 54 innings of work. He was not selected in the 2022 MLB Draft, but would go on to play college ball for UC Santa Barbara, and cuahgt lightening by his sophomore year.
He was named to three All-American teams and played for the United States collegiate national team in the summer. He kept that momentum going until his junior year, when he entered the draft as one of the top prospects. He caught the attention of the Los Angeles Angels , who took him second overall in the 2025 MLB Draft.
