Patrick Reed has had a very impressive Masters so far

The 2018 Masters Champion has been on fire through Friday and finished his second round at second place on the leaderboard. Reed’s journey to Augusta this year was a bit unique to say the least as he left LIV Golf and committed to waiting until August to return to PGA Tour play. Reed has been playing on the DP World Tour though and has proven, not just recently, to be someone truly willing to grind in the world of professional golf.

He will fight for every inch and do all he can to prove his worth and he is doing that in incredible fashion so far at Augusta National. As noted, Reed is a prior Masters Champion. He won the 2018 version of the tournament and has finished inside of the top 12 in 6 of the past 8 years.

The former Augusta University standout knows this fabled course well. Reed’s 3-under on Thursday was impressive enough, a feat he matched on Friday (although I’m sure he was upset about his only bogey of the day on 18 that lost him a stroke to close things out). You can argue that despite the identical scores that he had a much better day which is exemplified by him hitting 13/18 greens on Friday compared to 10/18 on Thursday.
