The one shot Scottie Scheffler wants back from 'frustrating' Masters round
World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler reflects on a 'frustrating' second round at the Masters, where he made four bogeys.
AUGUSTA, Ga. โ The world No. 1 would like one shot back from his second-round 2-over 74 at the 90 th Masters .
After a sluggish 2-over start through five holes at Augusta National Golf Club, Scottie Scheffler had battled back to even par for the day. He was in the fairway at the par-5 13 th and set up to draw a 3-iron to a back-right flag. His shot came up short of Raeโs Creek and bounced into the water.
Scheffler dropped and made bogey. โI just didn't draw it enough,โ Scheffler said. โIt's a hard shot for me because where I hit my drive there, we caught that tee ball into the wind again, so as far as I can get it out there, there's still some trees in my way, so I kind of have to start on that bridge, but off the slope I felt like I could pretty easily draw it off.
I just tried to kind of swing it with the slope and just didn't catch it that solid and kind of hung out there. โ More: Masters 2026 hub: Scores, stories and more Added Scheffler: โProbably my only shot I would rather be able to hit again. Maybe a different decision there.
