Parker Meadows will be sidelined for the foreseeable future. A frightening collision in the outfield left Meadows with a broken arm, a concussion and five stitches inside his mouth. The Detroit Tigers placed the 26-year-old center fielder on the 10-day injured list with a left radius fracture .

There is no timetable for his return, but he is expected to miss significant time. Just like that, the Tigers needed a replacement.
