J.L. Mann girls basketball will have a new coach when the 2026-27 season kicks off.
J. L. Mann girls basketball hired Darren Mazyck as its coach, the school announced on April 10.
Mazyck started his coaching career at C. E. Murray High School.
In 2014 he took over at Manning High School, where he led the Monarchs to 10 region championships. In 2021, he was named the coach at Ashley Ridge. Mazyck has an overall girls basketball record of 437-148.
