NBA playoff scenarios for April 10: Eastern Conference standings update
With just three days remaining in a the NBA's 2025-26 regular season, the playoff picture is beginning to look more and more clear. With a full slate of games scheduled for the evening on April 10, several of them have significant meaning and could impact seeding in the playoffs. If certain teams win, you even notice some celebrations on the court or in the locker room after a victory.
Here is what you need to know about each of the games if you are checking for playoff purposes: Western Conference playoff scenarios No clinching scenarios are possible for any teams in the Western Conference on Friday. The game between the Los Angeles Clippers and Portland Trail Blazers is not a clinching scenario, however, it is significant for seeding purposes. Eastern Conference playoff scenarios Atlanta Hawks clinch a playoff berth (and Southeast Division title) if either of the following happens: Win against the Cleveland Cavaliers Orlando Magic lose to Chicago Bulls AND Charlotte lose to Detroit Pistons Boston Celtics clinch the Atlantic Division title if either of the following happens: Win against New Orleans Pelicans New York Knicks lose to Toronto Raptors Charlotte Hornets lock into the play-in tournament if either of the following happens: Loss against Detroit Pistons Toronto Raptors defeat New York Knicks AND Atlanta Hawks lose to Cleveland Cavaliers Orlando Magic lock into the play-in tournament if either of the following happens : Loss against Chicago Bulls Toronto Raptors defeat New York Knicks AND Atlanta Hawks lose to Cleveland Cavaliers Philadelphia 76ers lock into the play-in tournament if either of the following happens : Loss against Indiana Pacers Toronto Raptors defeat New York Knicks Toronto Raptors clinch a playoff berth if either of the following happens: Win against New York Knicks Orlando Magic, Philadelphia 76ers AND Charlotte Hornets all lose Western and Eastern Conference seeding possibilities There are only TWO game days remaining in the regular season.
