The Kentucky Wildcats are set to host another transfer portal player soon in Colgate guard Jalen Cox.

The Kentucky Wildcats immediately entered the race for several top players in the transfer portal as soon as it opened up on Tuesday. They set up Zoom calls with several players, and are now working to set up visits as well. They're hosting point guard Zoom Diallo this weekend, and are looking to host former Colgate guard Jalen Cox now as well, per his representatives to Kentucky Sports Radio.

Cox is a 6'3" guard from California who has spent the last three seasons at Colgate. He was named to the All-Patriot League first team and the league's All-Defensive team as well this past season as a junior. He averaged 17.

9 points, 5. 2 rebounds, and 5. 3 steals per game while shooting 36% from three-point range.

Mark Pope had a Zoom call with Cox on Thursday, and it seems as if it went well, and there seems to be mutual interest. A date for a visit hasn't been set yet, but could be announced soon. This is a key offseason for Pope after a disastrous 2025-26 season.
