Hagens could make his NHL debut on Saturday against the Tampa Bay Lightning, and he said his first practice was pure excitement, as he’s eager to make an impact for the team. “It was pure excitement walking in here right away, being able to meet everybody,” Hagens said after practice on Thursday, via the team website. “These are guys that were role models for you, people you look up to, and now you’re sitting in a stall next to all of them.
“It is pretty surreal, and it’s really cool. Just how great all the guys are here. How welcoming they are, coming in, shaking everyone’s hands, really getting to know everyone.
Just walked around, soaking everything in. ” Hagens is expected to play on the wing, but Bruins head coach Marco Sturm said he’s still assessing where he will play and if he will make his debut on Saturday. Regardless of where he plays, Hagens said he just wants to help the Bruins win hockey games.
