2026 NFL draft: Arizona Cardinals have top-30 meeting with Florida OT Austin Barber
There is a new tackle prospect to know for the Arizona Cardinals, but he won't go in the first round of the draft.
The Arizona Cardinals have been connected to offensive line prospects, and they continue to do their homework on offensive tackles. While perhaps it is getting less and less likely that they will take a tackle with the third overall pick, we can look at candidates later in the draft. One player to know is tackle Austin Barber, who was a starting tackle for four seasons at Florida.
He totaled 38 starts for the Gators, one season at right tackle and the final three at left tackle. He is 6-7 and 318 pounds with arms longer than 33 inches. He ran the 40 at the NFL combine in 5.
12 seconds and posted a 32-inch vertical leap and 111-inch broad jump. According to SI. com's Justin Melo , Barber had an official top-30 visit lined up with the Cardinals and two other teams.
He is projected as an early Day 3 pick, so the Cardinals could call his name on Saturday of the draft in Round 4. Get more Cardinals and NFL coverage from Cards Wire's Jess Root and others by listening to the latest on the Rise Up, See Red podcast. Subscribe on Spotify , YouTube or Apple podcasts .
