Nebraska wide receiver commit Tay Ellis is officially shutting down his recruitment.

A Nebraska wide receiver commit has announced that he is officially shutting down his recruitment. Class of 2027 four-star wide receiver Tay Ellis made the official announcement on social media on Wednesday. Ellis is the 91st overall wide receiver in the 2027 class and the fourth overall player in his class from Nebraska, per Rivals' industry rankings .

The receiver will be making some big changes for his senior season. Ellis and fellow class of 2027 quarterback commit Trae Taylor will be transferring to Omaha's Millard South High School for the 2026 season. Omaha's newest receiver will certainly bring playmaking ability to the Millard South offense.

He had 65 catches for 800 yards and eight touchdowns last season for Crowley High School in Texas. He committed to Nebraska on November 3. I am officially shutting down my recruitment , and wonโ€™t be taking any other visit!
