Texas A&M freshman WR continues to turn heads after 10th practice
Texas A&M freshman WR Aaron Gregory continues to be the shining star in spring practice after taking the field on Thursday.
Texas A&M's 10th spring practice served as another opportunity for media members in attendance to watch several key members of the 2026 offense gel heading into the annual Maroon & White Spring Game on Saturday, April 18. After the Aggies' first scrimmage earlier this week, the name that continues to make the national rounds is freshman wide receiver Aaron Gregory . A blue-chip prospect with immense potential, the offseason addition of Alabama transfer Isaiah Horton , who has also been stellar in practice, likely pushed all four freshmen wide receivers, including Madden Williams, Jayden Warren, and Mike Brown, as depth pieces in case of injury.
However, early injuries to junior wide receivers Ashton Bethel-Roman and Terry Bussey have led Aaron Gregory to work with the first-team and develop a connection with Marcel Reed, which continued during Thursday's 10th practice. In Today's college football landscape, seniority never trumps talent, and while star junior WR Mario Craver leads the rotation, Gregory looks too skilled to keep off the field. Projected as an X receiver due to his size and speed, Gregory's ability to quickly get out of his breaks, maintain a low center of gravity, snap his hips, and make the catch without hesitation to charge upfield.
Coach Mike Elko and new OC Holmon Wiggins are well aware that if this level of play keeps up, the Georgia product could force his way into the starting lineup, but will likely serve as a rotational piece. 10ā”ļø3 @Marcel10Reed | @AaronGregory_07 pic. twitter.
