Latest mock draft has Commanders trading back in 2026 NFL Draft

Yahoo Sports

The Washington Commanders have plenty of options with their top pick in the draft, including potentially moving back and adding assets.

We're now just two weeks away from one of the most exciting sports events of the year: the NFL draft. For fans of the Washington Commanders , there doesn't seem to be a consensus on who the team will draft with the No. 7 pick.

Many mock drafts have the team taking a defender, but the idea of adding another weapon for Jayden Daniels is also enticing. However, the Commanders only have two picks in the top 100 and are without a second and fourth rounder thanks to the Laremy Tunsil trade. In total, the team only has six picks after making just five selections in last year's draft.

As a result, the idea of trading back from No. 7 is also interesting. In fact, that's exactly what ESPN's Bill Barnwell has the Commanders doing in his latest mock.

Barnwell predicts the Baltimore Ravens will send the No. 14 pick, a 2026 third-round pick, a 2026 fifth-round pick, and a 2027 third-round pick to move up to No. 7.
