The answer, unfortunately, is that you don’t. No player can do what he’s done for Liverpool and trying to sign a like-for-like replacement is useless. Instead, Liverpool will need to reshape their side to suit the lack of Salah.
Signing a player to fill the right flank is a must, but that player will be a different style to the Egyptian. And it seems the club recognises that. They appear to be abandoning the superstar direction that many predict them to take, with the likes of Michael Olise linked.
