It was six days before the playoffs began and four days before the regular-season schedule was completed around the league. This year won’t be like that. The Avs are set to host the Seattle Kraken at 8:30 p.

m. on April 16 for what will be the very last game on the entire NHL calendar before the postseason. The playoffs begin two days later.

Even though we won’t know the actual playoff schedule for another week, it’s safe to assume that Colorado won’t play on the first day of the postseason on the 18th. But how long of a break will they have? And if it’s just one extra day, then how will Jared Bednar deploy his veterans on that last game?
