The Boston Celtics ' final road game of the regular season was a good one, culminating in a hard-fought 112-106 loss to the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden on Thursday night. The Celtics fell short at the end, unable to overcome Jaylen Brown's absence . However, Baylor Scheierman nearly replaced his scoring production off the bench.
After a slow start to the game, Scheierman caught fire in the second half, nearly willing Boston to victory. He shot 6-for-7 after halftime, including 5-for-6 from beyond the arc, finishing with 20 points, six 3-pointers and four rebounds in 30 minutes. After the game, Joe Mazzulla praised Scheierman for his clutch shooting and other contributions.
