It was a busy day in Rhode Island high school sports. Here's the scores from across the state, and Friday's full schedule.

⚾BASEBALL - Division I La Salle 7, Smithfield 5 Xavier Rios and Brady Collins each drove in two runs helping the Rams come from behind to knock off the Sentinels. La Salle took a two-run lead in the top of the first, but Smithfield scored five runs on five hits in the bottom of the first to take a 5-2 lead. The big blow in the inning came off the bat of Connor Curtis who tripled to drive in three runs.

The Rams would tie the game at 5-5 in the top of the seventh with as they took advantage of J ayce Bessette double. In the top of the eighth inning, the Rams retook the lead when, Rios who singled and Collins who was hit by a pitch, eventually scored to make the score 7-5, which ended up being the final tally. Rios , Collins and Bronx Discullio and Axel da Silva each had two hits in the win.

South Kingstown 2, East Providence 1 The pitching was good on both sides as the game ended in a walk-off in the eighth inning when Finn Henderson drove in the Rebels’ second run with a single. South Kingstown pitchers struck out eight batters while East Providence hurlers struck out 10. Cole Rosen earned the win for South Kingstown.
