Period 1 Right by the net, you can argue that you want Smith just to jam it from time to time, instead of forcing a soft pass to Celebrini on weak side that gets intercepted.
Don’t want to take Smith’s instincts away, but changing up attack expectations from time to time isn’t bad, and speaks to the directness that San Jose Sharks could use. Start the game with a shot, maybe surprise Dostal. Carlsson goal: Dellandrea will get roasted (and got roasted by Carlsson), but how did he end up as the defenseman there?
Kreider made a really nice behind-the-back stationary exit pass to Carlsson, but I don’t think Leddy should’ve bit on that. Pinching is good, but that wasn’t the moment to do it. Anyway, Leddy committed, backchecking Misa ran into him, and Murder, Leo Wrote.
