The Iowa football team is getting after it during spring practice. “Ya know all the new guys coming together. Like, we have an urgency to get better, but at the same time the collective group in itself has been a blast to work with everybody, getting better every single day,” said Luke Gaffney, an Iowa senior defensive lineman.
Many eyes are gravitating towards the quarterback battle between Jeremy Hecklinski and Hank Brown. “Really it’s just whoever is back there, ya know, that’s who we work with,” said Dayton Howard, an Iowa junior wide receiver. “It’s definitely nice knowing that we have obviously guys with experience, and that has been here for a full year.
Obviously like Hank and Heck and things like that, and even Jimmy (Sullivan), too, and (Ryan Fitzgerald). They all look good. It’s definitely nice because we have had so much more time to connect and do routes on air, and just a lot of offseason work, and that has helped with the connection and every thing.
