Ohio State football equals record with 5 players attending NFL draft
Ohio State will be well represented when the NFL draft kicks off on April 23 with five players attending in person in Pittsburgh.
In just a few short weeks, dreams will come true for many college football players as they are selected by one of 32 teams in the upcoming NFL draft . One of the highlights of the draft is the players in the backroom waiting to hear their name called, and when it is, they walk out onto the stage, embrace Roger Goodell, and take pictures with their new team's jersey before being whisked off to meet with team brass. This year, 16 players have accepted the invitation to be in Pittsburgh for the draft with the chance to hear their name called first-hand.
Of those 16 players, five will be from The Ohio State University. Safety Caleb Downs , linebackers Arvell Reese and Sonny Styles , wide receiver Carnell Tate , and defensive tackle Kayden McDonald . The first four names are all but guaranteed to hear their name on Thursday night and very likely in the top 10 picks.
McDonald is projected to be a late first-round to early second-round pick. No other school will have more than two players in attendance. The 16 prospects who will be at the NFL Draft in Pittsburgh!
