#Preds Injury Update: Defenseman Roman Josi will not play tonight at Utah and is day-to-day with an upper-body injury. — Nashville Predators (@PredsNHL) April 10, 2026 Josi played only 15:31 in the Predators' 5-0 win over the Anaheim Ducks on April 7. That included only two shifts in the third period, his last shift coming with 17:20 left in the game.
It was not clear at the time whether Josi was held out due to an injury or because the Predators held a big lead. Jordan Oesterle, who was recalled from Milwaukee on April 6, will replace Josi in the lineup. He had three goals, one assist in 13 games with Nashville last season.
Nashville (37-31-10, 84 points) currently holds the second wild card spot in the Western Conference , but needs to keep winning to hold it. Los Angeles (83 points) has a game in hand on Nashville and could pass the Predators if both teams win out. The Predators have a 43% chance of making the playoffs according to Money Puck, but those chances don't factor in injuries.
