This past season was the last for MTSU head coach Rick Insell, who retired after 20 years at the helm. Phifer ended her career at Ingomar as the most decorated player in program history. She was named Class 2A Miss Basketball twice, Daily Journal Player of the Year twice, and led the Falcons to four state championships.
