Whether it's in New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, or some other big cities, hearing fans boo is rather common when teams don't play the type of baseball that's expected. As things currently stand, the Red Sox have been one of the most disappointing teams in the game, and as a result, fans have let them know about it. That can be demoralizing for all involved, but it's also the reality of playing in Boston.
At the end of the day, if guys don't want to get booed, they have to come out and play better. While there haven't been many positives throughout the season, at least skipper Alex Cora understands that this is how it works and part of what you sign up for when you play in Boston. “That’s how it works,” Cora said , per the Boston Herald.
“That’s why we love it here, right, because their expectations are up there with us. Right now we deserve whatever they’re thinking. We’re not playing good baseball.
