The Bengals drafted defensive end Cam Sample in the fourth round in 2021.

Cam Sample, a defensive end for the Cincinnati Bengals since 2021, agreed to a one-year deal with the San Francisco 49ers, according to a report via Twitter/X from NFL Network's Tom Pelissero . Sample, 26, was among 2025 Bengals to become unrestricted free agents at the conclusion of the season. In 2025, Sample played in 14 games, bouncing back from a torn Achilles tendon that sidelined him the entire 2024 season.

A fourth-round pick of the Bengals in the 2021 NFL Draft, Sample played in 61 regular-season games in Cincinnati, making five starts. He also played in six postseason games for the Bengals. In March 2025, the Bengals re-signed Sample to a one-year deal.

Sample has seven regular-season sacks and one playoff sack. This article originally appeared on Cincinnati Enquirer: Defensive end Cam Sample leaves Bengals for 49ers | Report
