Arsenal, Chelsea, Man Utd and PSG prepare bids for Villa star Morgan Rogers
Arsenal, Chelsea, Man Utd and PSG prepare bids for Villa star Morgan Rogers Morgan Rogers is emerging as one of the most sought-after players in the upcoming transfer window, with several major clubs preparing to compete for the Aston Villa FC attacker this summer. Clubs including Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain are all monitoring Rogers ahead of the transfer window. The 23-year-old could command a transfer fee approaching £100 million if a bidding war develops between the interested sides.
Villa are understood to value the England international at more than £80 million, with the price potentially rising closer to £90 million before add-ons. Rogers joined Aston Villa from Middlesbrough in February 2024 for a fee that could rise to £15 million. His former club would also benefit financially from any future sale.
Middlesbrough negotiated a 20 per cent sell-on clause that would apply to any profit Aston Villa make on the player. Despite the growing interest, Aston Villa are not actively looking to sell Rogers. The forward signed a long-term contract extension with the club in November that runs until 2031.
However, the club could still face financial considerations this summer even if they secure qualification for the Champions League. Those factors mean a substantial offer may force Villa to consider their options. Rogers is understood to have a strong relationship with Villa and manager Unai Emery.
The player is not currently pushing for a transfer away from the club. Nevertheless, his performances over the past year have significantly increased his market value. Rogers has become a regular presence in the England squad and is expected to play an important role in upcoming international tournaments.
