Their massive roster cuts led to some massive holes in the roster. With so many spots to fill, the Dolphins need to use their picks wisely. And with seven selections in the first three rounds, or top 100 picks of the draft, there is plenty of opportunity to get help.
But, according to ESPN's Marcel Louis-Jacques and Jordan Reid , the Dolphins and new general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan's trade plan could involve some interesting maneuvers both up and down the board. Dolphins might move up and down NFL Draft with seven top-100 picks "Don't rule out a trade, but Miami's priority is adding as much talent as possible," Louis-Jacques writes. "Depending on how the board falls, trading down in the first round feels more likely, especially if it results in a first-round pick swap and at least one additional top-100 selection.
" The Dolphins gutted their roster and need to add cheap, young talent to help move on from the $99. 2 million Tua Tagovailoa dead cap hit over the next two seasons, along with their other big departures. Trading down from their 11th pick with a team trying to jump the Dallas Cowboys could make sense, especially if it gets them extra ammo on Day 2 of the draft.
