As of April 9, 2026, they sit at 8-5 and have gone 3-0-1 in series against tough teams. Young players like Chase DeLauter, Juan Brito, and Angel Martinez have given the offense a real shot in the arm. All-Stars like Jose Ramirez and Steven Kwan continue to be steady hitters, helping the offense along, and the bench guys seem to be off to a good start.
Really, there's only one guy who hasn't stepped up yet: Kyle Manzardo. Manzardo, the club's first baseman, is currently fifth on the team in at-bats (35) but is tied for dead-last with just three hits. He's dead last in just about every statistical category save for one.
The only category he's not dead-last in is the one he's leading, and that's strikeouts. He registered 14 so far to start the season. Kwan, the team's hit leader so far, only has 12.
