Parker Meadows injury update: Detroit Tigers OF exits after collision
Detroit Tigers outfielder Parker Meadows slammed into teammate Riley Greene in a scary collision and was carted off in Thursday's game in Minnesota.
MINNEAPOLIS โย Detroit Tigers center fielder Parker Meadows experienced a scary collision in the outfield. The 26-year-old left the game with one out in the eighth inning Thursday, April 9, against the Minnesota Twins after a head-to-head collision with left fielder Riley Greene. The collision happened while chasing a fly ball in left-center field at Target Field.
He laid on the ground for several minutes. Eventually, Meadows sat up, stood up and made his way to a golf cart. He sat down as the golf cart took him off the field, through an opening in the fence in left-center field.
Meadows and Greene collided on a fly ball in the gap from Twins first baseman Josh Bell, which Greene caught. After the injury to Meadows, Kevin McGonigle entered the game at shortstop, and Javier Bรกez moved from shortstop to center field. This story will be updated.
