Alabama All-American Labaron Philon Jr. declares for 2026 NBA draft
Alabama sophomore Labaron Philon Jr. announced this week that he plans to declare for the 2026 NBA draft after two years with the Crimson Tide. Philon was a third-team All-American selection, averaging 22 points, five assists, 3.
5 rebounds and 1. 2 steals on shooting 39. 9% from 3-point range in 33 games.
His 725 total points ranked as the third-most in a single season in program history. The 6-foot-4 guard led Alabama to its fourth straight appearance in the Sweet 16 before the group lost to the eventual champions, Michigan. He was the only player in the country to average at least 22 points and five assists per game while shooting 50% or better from the field.
View this post on Instagram Philon was among the prospects who tested the predraft process last year before ultimately opting to return to school ahead of the early entry withdrawal deadline. He more than doubled his offensive production from last year, while earning several accolades in the process. By returning to school, Philon established himself as a likely lottery pick after he was viewed as a second-rounder last year.
He improved on both ends of the court and is highly touted for his ability to get into the paint, with his array of dribble moves and agility. Philon is a part of a highly touted draft class with the likes of Darius Acuff Jr. , Cameron Boozer, Mikel Brown Jr.
