The Green Bay Packers will host New Mexico running back Damon Bankston on an official visit ahead of the 2026 NFL draft, per Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel . Bankston (5-10, 196) is a Weber State transfer who rushed for 635 yards and five touchdowns on 114 attempts and caught 32 passes for 413 yards and three more scores for New Mexico in 2025. He also returned 12 kickoffs, taking two back for touchdowns.
The Packers, who need depth at running back, could see Bankston as an exciting run-catch threat who could return kickoffs at the next level. Over his entire collegiate career, which includes four seasons at Weber State, Bankston rushed for 2,959 yards and 27 touchdowns and caught 65 passes for 729 yards and four more scores. His all-purpose yardage total ended up at 4,220.
