The broadcasters have teamed up for a new series, "The Fight," which will see one boxing event per month from DAZN's stable of promoters โ€” Matchroom, Top Rank, Golden Boy and Queensberry โ€” that will be simulcast on TNT Sports in the U. S. "The Fight" will debut July 4, and it is expected a WBO lightweight title fight between Abdullah Mason and Joe Cordina will kick off the new partnership.

In the last decade, boxing has lost its presence on major networks such as HBO and Showtime, with the majority of boxing events now televised on the niche DAZN app. Although select events have been shown on Netflix recently, and ESPN and Paramount+ have struck partnerships with Jake Paul's Most Valuable Promotions and Dana White's Zuffa Boxing, respectively, the sport has become less popular overall. The partnership between TNT Sports and DAZN hopes to boost the sport's exposure stateside and push it back into the mainstream.

"TNT Sportsโ€™ networks and platforms, including Bleacher Report and House of Highlights, will produce and deliver additional content and original programming that brings fight fans closer to the action and drama of boxing," according to a news release announcing the partnership. "TruTV will also serve as a meaningful platform for robust boxing content, airing additional live and shoulder programming to further elevate fight nights, including event weigh-ins, press conferences, features and original content, and more.
