Arizona State loses star big man to the transfer portal
Sun Devils big man Massamba Diop has thrown his name into the transfer portal with a no-contact tag.
The Big 12 featured some talented centers during the recently completed college basketball season, but one of those talented big men might be headed elsewhere. Arizona State center Massamba Diop has entered his name into the transfer portal with a "do not contact" tag. The Arizona Republic covered how much of a loss Diop would be for a Sun Devils team looking to take the next step.
He averaged nearly 14 points per game and just under six rebounds per contest. Diop's greatest impact likely came on the defensive end, where he averaged over two blocks per game. The 7'1" center will be an immediate asset in the paint for his next program.
