Cincinnati Reds center fielder Dane Myers made a remarkable catch in the bottom of the first inning of their series finale against the Marlins in Miami, to rob Jakob Marsee of extra bases. Marsee led off against Reds starter Rhett Lowder, and clubbed the ball to deep center. Myers crashed into the wall as he caught it .

"I don't know how he caught that ball," Reds. TV analyst Jeff Brantley said during the broadcast. "That's the best ball that's been hit to center field in this series, and it's straight over the head of Myers.

It just ran him flat into the wall full-speed. " Fellow outfielders Spencer Steer and TJ Friedl checked on Myers as he sat up while holding the ball after a hard fall. Reds athletic trainer Sean McQueeney ran onto the field to examine Myers as well.

"What a grab by Dane Myers," play-by-play announcer John Sadak said. "I'll tell you what - that'll knock the breath out of you," Brantley added. "You hit that wall full-speed and extended at its biggest point.
