The uniform features an “R” for Royals in a font similar to that used in the city flag . The gradient celebrates the City of Fountains logo adopted by Kansas City in 1991.
The Royals describe the design in a press release. Derived from the beauty and movement of Kansas City’s iconic fountains, the Forever Fountains design reflects the club’s place at the heart of the nation. The uniform’s colors flow in a dynamic gradient, from the swirling fuchsia tones of a Midwestern sunset to the blue of the water flowing through the city’s more than 200 fountains.
The uniform’s color treatment celebrates Kansas City’s official City of Fountains identity, first adopted by City Hall in 1991. The uniform’s “R” logo draws inspiration from the Royals original 1969 mark, blending the roots of the franchise’s past with modern tradition. A prominent heart logo reinforces Kansas City’s identity as the nation’s heartland.
The club released a video promoting the jerseys. For the city that's always pushing forward. Forever Kansas City, Forever #FountainsUp pic.
