The Boston Bruins signed James Hagens yesterday. He will be on Warrior Arena ice today. He will likely make his debut on Saturday against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
The Long Island native and BC product played six games with the Providence Bruins on an amateur tryout, but now he’s with the big club. Charlie McAvoy was also nominated for the Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy on Wednesday. He is alongside a few former Bruins who are up for the trophy, which is given annually to the player who best exemplifies perseverance, sportsmanship, and dedication to hockey.
