Broncos host two running backs, including a national champion
The Broncos are taking a look at running backs ahead of the NFL draft. Here are two names to watch.
After re-signing veteran J. K. Dobbins during NFL free agency, the Denver Broncos appear to still be in the market to add another running back.
That addition could arrive during the NFL draft later this month. Indiana running back Kaelon Black had a pre-draft visit with the Broncos last week, his agency announced . Black (5-9, 208 pounds) rushed for 1,040 yards and 10 touchdowns in 16 games with the national champions last season.
NFL mock drafts have Black projected as a Day 3 prospect. Black will turn 25 in December. Meanwhile, Virginia running back JโMari Taylor said at his pro day last month that he had upcoming visits or meetings with six teams, including the Broncos.
Taylor (5-10, 199 pounds) earned first-team All-ACC honors last fall after rushing for 1,062 yards and 14 touchdowns in 13 games with the Cavaliers. Before that, Taylor spent five years at North Carolina Central. He's entering the NFL draft as a 24-year-old rookie.
