LSU coach Lane Kiffin pokes fun at Pete Golding on social media
Lane Kiffin isn't shy about having fun on social media. He fired a joke at Ole Miss head coach Pete Golding this morning.
LSU football head coach Lane Kiffin is known for his social media antics. For years, Kiffin has been the jester of SEC coaches on X (the app formerly known as Twitter). Kiffin's antics continued this week as the LSU coach took a shot at Pete Golding, the current Ole Miss head coach and Kiffin's former defensive coordinator.
Ole Miss held a Par 3 tournament with the likes of Golding and star players. Kiffin shared a quip after a video of Golding's swing hit social media. "Looking just like @CoachHughFreeze buddy.
Great swing @CoachGolding," Kiffin wrote. Kiffin is, of course, referring to the jokes that were made about former Auburn and Ole Miss head coach Hugh Freeze, who was often seen on Auburn golf courses. The time Freeze spent on the golf course drew criticism as Auburn struggled on the field.
There's been plenty of online drama involving LSU and Ole Miss social media personalities since the Kiffin saga unfolded last fall. Kiffin left Ole Miss before the Rebels' CFP run and Golding was promoted to head coach. Now, the two are conference rivals.
