New LSU coach Lane Kiffin is prioritizing fixing the offensive line after the 2025 season's struggles, signing key transfers.

LSU football fell short of expectations in 2025 -- a lot of that blame falls on the offense. Despite a top-15 defense, LSU's offense struggled to score points. The Tigers ' run game was among the worst in the SEC, and LSU was inconsistent in pass protection.

Fixing the offensive line was an immediate priority for new head coach Lane Kiffin after arriving in Baton Rouge. LSU hit the transfer portal, signing a handful of coveted linemen. The LSU staff also worked to secure the return of players like Braelin Moore and Weston Davis.

"Very big challenge to get that fixed," Kiffin said of LSU football's offensive line troubles, "And that takes a lot of things. It's a system thing. It's a personnel thing.

" An inability to run the ball doesn't just create problems for the offense, Kiffin says, it's a problem for the entire team. Kiffin's Ole Miss teams imposed their will on the ground, something he wants to continue with his LSU offenses. "It's just part of your personality.
