Kentucky Basketball might have its eyes set on the next starting point guard in Lexington. One of the big pieces of transfer portal news yesterday involved BYU point guard Rob Wright entering his name in the portal. Wright immediately became one of the top prospects in the portal, and understandably so.
As a sophomore at BYU last season, Wright averaged 18. 1 points per game to go along with 3. 5 rebounds, 4.
6 assists, and 1. 2 steals per game. He also shot 46.
7 percent from the floor, 41 percent from three on 4 attempts/game, and 82. 1 percent from the free throw line. According to On3’s Jackson Collier , when Wright entered the portal, Kentucky and Arkansas were thought to be the top contenders, but Collier’s source likes where Kentucky stands in the recruitment.
