Commanders one of several teams to meet with Division III All-American
The Commanders are doing their due diligence on every wide receiver prospect in the 2026 NFL Draft.
Where in the world is DePauw University? A Division III school located in Greencastle, Indiana, isn't exactly known as a hotbed for NFL talent. However, the Tigers do have a prospect on the radar of NFL teams ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft.
Wide receiver Robby Ballentine was an Associated Press Division III first-team All-American in 2025. The 6-foot-0, 200-pound Ballentine set a school record with 92 receptions and 1,314 yards last season. He also caught 16 touchdowns, which is tied for second in school history.
Ballentine's 20 touchdown receptions in 2024 are first. While Ballentine may not be on the radar to be drafted, he could be targeted as a priority free agent. He recently worked out at the Indianapolis Colts' local pro day, where he excelled, according to Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 in Houston.
Additionally, Wilson revealed that Ballentine has met with seven other NFL teams. These aren't official top-30 visits, but they do indicate interest in the Division III star. Depauw @DePauwTigersFB All-American wide receiver-returner Robby Ballentine excelled at #Colts Pro Day workout.
