Could the Atlanta Falcons bring Stetson Bennett back to Georgia?

Would it make sense for Falcons to bring in former Georgia QB Stetson Bennett?

Anyone who knows Georgia football is aware of Stetson Bennett. The two-time national champion quarterback who once took the field for the Bulldogs now serves as an emergency quarterback for the Los Angeles Rams. But what if he was brought back to Georgia?

By the Atlanta Falcons , that is. There's debate about how likely and realistic that actually is, but there are also many ways that it could make sense with some suspecting Bennett will be cut by the Rams before the start of the 2026 season in the final year of his rookie contract. The Falcons current have Michael Penix Jr.

, Tua Tagovailoa and Trevor Siemian at quarterback. The latter, Atlanta recently signed to bring in a veteran presence that also added depth. With three signal-callers in-house, the Falcons seem to have what they need.

But it's worth noting the extensive college and NFL injury history that both Tagovailoa and Penix possess. It's been a frequent occurrence -- and that's putting it lightly. On top of that, there's no guarantee that the journeyman Siemian ultimately works out or is there to stay for the long-term.
