One of ESPN’s Biggest Voices Recently Came to the Defense of Jalen Hurts

Yahoo Sports

He makes a point, too. While the opinions on Hurts are all over the place, you can't deny what he's done in his time in the league.

This offseason has been a whirlwind for the Philadelphia Eagles . From the loss of major defensive starters to the black cloud of an AJ Brown trade rumor hanging heavy over the organization, it hasn't been great for Philly fans. To top it all off, over the course of the last few weeks, seemingly out of nowhere, a smear campaign against starting quarterback Jalen Hurts has emerged.

It started with an article detailing some of the leaked in-house issues that Hurts displays, like poor body language, a lack of coachability, and a rigid resistance when it comes to any offensive scheme changes. Next was the ownership and organization coming out with a statement that the team had no plans to resign their franchise quarterback to an extension unless concrete improvement was shown this upcoming season. There have now been players like the Buccaneers' former Lavonte David stating that, "Jalen Hurts was never a guy we worried about.

" It seems to be getting a little out of hand for a guy who's only one season removed from being a Super Bowl MVP. ESPN's Dan Orlovsky felt the same way and shared why this is all a little ridiculous. Dan Orlovsky Does His Best to Set the Record Straight on Hurts "The facts and the opinions don't match.
